Built and installed swamp airconditioner in left window.  Grandmothers 1/8 hp washing machine motor, driving a Ford radiator fan from Lee Kump, blasted Mary right out of kitchen when turned on!!  Rain driven by strong west wind blew water through conditioner flooding Mary’s floor.

That mail box migrated to CA & was used for 40 years until Mary simply wanted a new one

Home in Garden Grove CA purchased in 1955 for $18,500 using the GI bill.  Brazilian Pepper tree on right Carob tree left. David and other kids hit young carob tree with ball bat, killing the top.  Lower branches thrived causing it to become a beautiful tree.  Mary was allergic to it’s blossoms and in 1998 it had to go.  Some if it’s beautiful wood was cut into boards and now graces the inside of the house as a desk.
