            Jarrell & Anitta lived in Council Bluffs OH and Jarrell worked for Union Pacific in Omaha. He was later moved to Denver CO and after that to Walla Walla Washington. Jarrell and Anitta made frequent trips to Oberlin KS for “Landau Reunions”.

            Jarrell and Marsha made a trip to Illinois to trace family roots, arriving at the time one of the family members died. He told of beautiful furniture our Great Grandfather had made being hauled out on the lawn and sold. Much of what we have on the Landau lineage comes from what Jarrell & Marsha found out on that trip.

            Jarrell had also made a trip to Germany after WW II where he talked with the Mayor of the city of Landau Germany. Cousin Billy, William’s son, had won a trip to Europe and wrote the family of his tour along the Rine about 1930.

We had a great time, went to Knotts Berry Farm, out to dinner –

Not long after Jarrell called Darrell from intensive care; he’d had a heart attack.

Jarrell had called family – Ila asked that he call Darrell to care for his health.

Jarrells uncle Rell died of heart attach in 1965.

Darrell had three bypasses and main heart valve replaced in 2002, and is adding this note at age 80.
